This is what CSKA executive director Filip Filipov said following the 1:1 draw with “Lokomotiv” (Plovdiv) on Saturday night. After the match, the home team had claims once morest the referee Dragomir Draganov.
“That today was simply unacceptable. I want to congratulate our team because for 90 minutes they fought and looked for the victory. We created a lot of chances, we played football, but once more I say that the official position of the club is that we do not want this referee to officiate any more matches at CSKA”.
Filipov added that the club has claims for an undecided penalty, with Draganov looking at the replay situation.
“There were a lot of situations in the game that will be looked at and taken out. There were a lot of unnecessary stoppages of play and there was an obvious foul on Bradley de Neuer that wasn’t given. I can’t think of another situation where the referee was called to review the situation, the VAR saw the penalty, the whole stadium saw the penalty and only the referee did not see the penalty”.
At the end of the game, central defender Jürgen Mattei missed a penalty, hitting the side post.
After the match itself, the captain of the visitors from Plovdiv, Dimitar Iliev, recalled CSKA’s goal in the previous round once morest “Septemvri”. The Reds then scored when the opposition wanted the ball out, and Matej scored a touch.
