Cryptocurrencies followed the trend of stocks to continue the streak of decline, affected by investors’ concerns regarding persistent inflation.
Bitcoin fell below $30,000 for the second time this week, closing the cryptocurrency down 7% at $29,135.
Earlier in the session, it hit its lowest level since December 2020 at $29,026.
The second largest cryptocurrency, Ethereum, also fell by 10 percent to reach $2,104.
