Cruz Azul player Carlos Salcedo suffered the death of his sister Paola Salcedo this past weekend, Cruz Azul confirmed on social media.
“We regret the sensitive death of Paola Salcedo, sister of our player Carlos Salcedo. Our deepest condolences,” was what the Liga MX club posted, accompanied by an obituary.
The information was initially released by Ernaldo Moritz, a Univision contributor, who revealed the news and only tried to mention Paola Salcedo’s death.
Some time later, the same news was confirmed by Carlos Jiménez, a reporter for the Milenio channel in Mexico and a specialist, who confirmed that she was murdered last Saturday night in a municipality in the State of Mexico.
More details are expected to be revealed regarding the death of Carlos Salcedo’s sister as authorities begin the corresponding investigation.
