Today, Sunday, a group of winning films were crowned at the conclusion of the International Short Film Festival for Women and Children 2022 in its first session, which was organized by the Omani Film and Theater Association during the period from 21 to 25 December in the capital, Muscat, with the participation of 81 films, of which 41 films were selected from 14 countries.
“Dear Ward” won the Best Narrative Film Award at the festival, directed by Egyptian director Marwa Al-Sayed Al-Sharqawi, while the documentary “Children in the Ashes” by Omani director Ibrahim Al-Ahmadi won the Best Documentary Film Award, and Lilila Salizad won the Best Actress Award for her participation in the Narrative Film. Siralish” by Iranian director Yasser Ahmadi. Suleiman Al-Ahmad won the best child actor award for his participation in the feature film “Photograph” by Syrian director Al-Muhannad Muhammad, while the films “Sherine” and “Amani” won the Narrative Film Jury Prizes at the festival, and the documentary film “” “Beautiful in the Time of Movement” won the audience vote award at the festival.
A group of participating actors and films also received a special mention from the judging committees. They are the child actor Abdul Latif Salahi for his role in the feature film “The Village Student”, and the actress Amal Al-Maharibiya for her role in the feature film “The Black Wall”, the feature film “Siralish” and the movie “Taiut”. 24″.
