Around eight months following his accession to the throne, 74-year-old Charles III. been crowned King of Britain. His wife Camilla was crowned queen. Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby donned the Edwardian Crown and Queen Mary’s Crown to both of them at a ceremony in London’s Westminster Abbey. The newly crowned couple then appeared with the royal nuclear family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. More than 2,300 guests followed the ceremony on Saturday, plus millions in front of the screens. There were representatives from 203 countries, including around 100 heads of state. Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen represented Austria.
