Despite the fact that Alla Pugacheva left Russia a few months ago, compatriots continue to actively discuss her behavior and work. Not so long ago, the prima donna of the national stage once more attracted attention, without wanting it herself. This happened following Polina Gagarina performed Igor Krutoy’s composition “Love, like a dream.” Many remember that at one time Alla Borisovna made a splash with her. Of course, the performance of Gagarina and Pugacheva immediately began to be compared. Oddly enough, many experts believe that the younger artist sang much more professionally.

“The only thing that unites such diametrically opposed singers as Alla Pugacheva and Polina Gagarina in this song is the range. The song is wide in range, so only strong performers like Lara Fabian and Dimash sang it. Polina is a technically skilled singer and technically sang the song superbly: a little in her own way, somewhere she added her own melisma; at the end she went upstairs, ”says vocal teacher Yulia Taravkova.

As for Alla Pugacheva’s performance, you won’t find such perfectly honed notes there; However, the Primadonna also has an advantage – she clearly put emotions into the song, gave all her best. By the way, they say that the real Alla Borisovna has not been with us for a long time, she might be replaced by a double.

“For Pugacheva, each song was like a mini-performance: the body, hands, facial expressions, eyes worked. Alla Pugacheva is a singer who sang not with her voice, but with her soul. I would like to see on stage not only a cold static vocalist (you can listen to the radio, following all), but a real live artist – albeit not perfectly singing, but capable of awakening the heart, ”Taravkova concluded.
