Ramallah – the world of the homeland
Reem El-Dabri, the client of Hannibal Gaddafi, the son of the Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi, revealed the latest developments in his health following he continued his hunger strike.

Al-Dabry stated that the health condition of her client, Hannibal, has become very critical, and he is suffering between life and death. According to what was reported by (Russia Today).

He said, “His family can no longer publish his picture in light of the condition he reached while continuing his hunger strike.”

Al-Dabri explained that despite the Libyan Presidential Council’s interest in Hannibal and its formation of a committee to expedite the handling of his issue with the Lebanese authorities, until now no step has been taken in this regard.

She added that Hannibal’s case today is a humanitarian issue for a person on hunger strike and cannot wait for every minute that passes is a threat to his life, calling on the relevant Libyan authorities to intervene quickly to save him.

Gaddafi began a hunger strike, in protest once morest what he considered “arbitrary and political arrest” and denouncing the procrastination in resolving his case and the injustice he was subjected to, due to his involvement in the kidnapping of Shiite cleric Musa al-Sadr in 1978 in the capital, Tripoli.

According to what his lawyer said and was quoted by news agencies, the news coming from Lebanon indicates that the health of Gaddafi’s son has deteriorated following two weeks of hunger strike in protest of his arrest in Beirut without trial.

Gaddafi’s son maintains his innocence in the case of al-Sadr’s disappearance, and he repeatedly said during the investigations that he did not have any information because the incident occurred when he was a child, and that his disappearance is known only to his older brother Saif al-Islam Gaddafi and former Prime Minister Abdel Salam Jalloud, along with his father’s relative, Ahmed Gaddafi al-Dam, who resides in Cairo and former Foreign Minister Musa Koussa.

The file of Gaddafi’s son, which enjoys the attention of Libyan public opinion, is still without a judicial settlement, despite the attempts of several Libyan parties to intervene in order to obtain his release, and despite the negotiations that took place between his defense team and the committee in charge of the al-Sadr case.

A few days ago, the Libyan Presidential Council announced the formation of a committee headed by Minister of Justice Halima al-Busaifi to follow up on this file. It also ordered the formation of a defense committee to undertake legal follow-up before all Lebanese authorities and courts to ensure a fair trial.
