Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Al-Nassr should be perfect

According to media reports, the signing of football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo by Al-Nassr FC is said to be perfect. Both the Saudi-funded news channel Al-Arabiya and, a little later, CBS Sports reported on Friday evening that the contract had been signed. However, both broadcasters did not name specific sources.

CBS Sports reported on a two-and-a-half-year contract that Ronaldo is said to have signed on Friday, citing a source close to the club. Al-Arabiya also referred to a previous report in the Spanish sports newspaper “Marca”, which recently reported on a possible seven-year contract. First two and a half years as a player, then as an ambassador for the World Cup application. Saudi Arabia is working with Egypt and Greece to host the 2030 World Cup.

There was initially no confirmation from Al-Nassr on Friday evening. Ronaldo initially did not publish anything on social networks that indicated a change.

A contract with a club in Saudi Arabia brings Ronaldo a lot of money towards the end of his career and at the age of 37. In terms of sport, it would mean relegation following the 2016 European champions played for top European clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus Turin. Since his noisy departure from Manchester United and before the World Cup, which was also disappointing for the superstar, Ronaldo has been without a club.
