Ronaldo sharply criticized for this photo

Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo (37) uploaded a photo to Instagram on Saturday, which caused a stir. Then he put his arm around a man, thumbs up. The photo is captioned, “Nice to see you my friend! #see you soon”.
The man in the photo is conservative psychologist Jordan Peterson (60). He became known for his criticism of gender politics, gender-appropriate language, criticism of Corona and vaccination against it, or his theory that masculinity is in a crisis.
Peterson reaches millions of viewers with his YouTube videos and books. He is also celebrated for his statements by a right-wing audience.
At the beginning of the year he gave up his professorship at the University of Toronto.

While many under the post express their approval, Ronaldo is also facing headwinds. Especially on Twitter there is criticism.
“Pathetic,” writes one. Another accuses Ronaldo of drawing even more attention to Peterson’s videos.
One critic writes, “Why is anyone even remotely surprised that someone as arrogant as he thinks Peterson is great?”
