Cristiano Ronaldo wants to score 1,000 goals

“For me, the best result in football is to score 900 goals. After that, my challenge is to score 1,000 goals,” said the 39-year-old Portuguese in an interview with his former Manchester United colleague Rio Ferdinand published on his YouTube channel. He currently has 893 goals in his stats.

He announced that he would try to achieve this at the age of 41. “I score 60 goals per season,” emphasized Ronaldo, who will celebrate his 40th birthday on February 5, 2026. “If I don’t have any injuries,” added the professional from the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr FC, tapping a wooden table. There is no end in sight to his career for the five-time world footballer. “I still feel good. I can dribble, still shoot, score goals, jump.”

His contract with Al-Nassr runs until June 30, 2025. Pelé, who died in December 2022, is said to have scored 1,281 goals during his career. However, the exact number is doubted by some due to insufficient evidence. “All the goals I scored are on video,” Ronaldo stressed.
