Press reports revealed that the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo is currently training in the training center of his former team, Real Madrid, days following he was excluded from the 2022 World Cup quarter-finals, following losing to Morocco with a goal without a response.
Ronaldo is not currently associated with any club following his contract with Manchester United was terminated, as a result of a media interview during which the Portugal national team captain criticized the club, its officials and Dutch coach Eric Ten Hag, stressing that he felt “betrayal” there.
And the Spanish “Relevo” website revealed that Ronaldo is currently training in “Valdebebas”, Real Madrid’s main training center, 4 days following leaving the World Cup.
The report stated that Ronaldo requested permission to train there alone in another stadium, far from the stadium on which coach Carlo Ancelotti’s battalion is engaged in its morning training.
He continued: Ronaldo’s return there shows that the relationship between Real Madrid and the player is still good. Ronaldo was keen to train in a place far from prying eyes and did not communicate with his former colleagues.
Ronaldo spent 9 seasons with the “Merengue” between 2009 and 2018, during which he played 438 matches in all competitions, scoring 450 goals and making 131 others.
