What a crazy scene…
Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo (38) is simply picked up during the European Championship qualifier once morest Bosnia-Herzegovina – and not by a teammate, but by a runregarding!
In the 59th minute, a man in Lisbon charged at Ronaldo with a Portugal flag in hand and another around his waist. He hugs the five-time world footballer and drops to his knees in a deep bow, as if he wanted to kiss the attacker’s feet.
Then it gets really weird! The speedster gets up once more and lifts Ronaldo in the air. Then he briefly imitates Ronaldo’s typical goal celebration. And the superstar? He stays cool and simply joins in with the “Siuuuu”!
When the security forces arrive, the fan runs away.
However, the TV viewers do not get to see these scenes, Uefa censors – as is usually the case – the speedster images.
The English newspaper “Sun” then writes of a “shocking moment”. Apparently Ronaldo saw things differently, accepting the whole action with a smile.
Red instead of a goal! And THIS brazen scene is also rewarded
The 38-year-old was also pleased with the result. The 3-0 win means that Portugal is still enthroned at the top of Group J without losing a point. Champions League winner Bernardo Silva (44′) and Bruno Fernandes (77′ and 90’+3′) scored the goals.
So no goal for Ronaldo. But that didn’t seem to matter to the speedster…
