Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Portuguese player, Cristiano Ronaldo, is still determined to leave Manchester United, during the current summer transfer market.
Ronaldo had revealed to the board of directors his desire to leave the Red Devils, and to search for another club, to participate in the Champions League, 2023 edition.
The United management worked to persuade Cristiano to stay at Old Trafford, before the player’s desire to leave was renewed, following the team received two defeats in the (Premier League), in the new season.
Ronaldo appeared helpless, during his team’s loss from Brighton with two goals to one, and then from Brentford with a clean four.
And journalist Fabrizio Romano, an expert in the transfer market, said, through his account on Twitter: “The business agent Jorge Mendes is still working on a solution, a possible transfer for Cristiano Ronaldo at the last minute, as it was one year ago.”
“Ronaldo’s priority has always been to leave Manchester United this summer,” Fabrizio added.
“Manchester United insists that Cristiano is not for sale, while Jorge Mendes continues to explore options,” said Fabrizio.
Ronaldo has a contract with the Red Devils until the summer of 2023, and he played 38 games with the team, last season, during which he scored 24 goals and made 3 goals.
