Cristián de la Fuente claims for the use of his image in the Approval strip: “It was without my authorization or consent”

It was an excerpt of only 7 seconds in the Approval for Water strip, in which the actor was seen Christian of the Source while intervening in the program Without Filters, which broadcasts the cable channel VIVE.

“The problem is that there are people who don’t have the things they want, but they want them to be given away because they don’t have the balls to work and get things for themselves”, was the prayer that De la Fuente said and that was broadcast in the night slot on Sunday, August 7.

Erroneously, De la Fuente -who has publicly stated his preference for Rejection before the plebiscite on September 4- sent a letter addressed to the Approve x Chile command -which is led by the RD Felipe Heusser, the PC Karol Cariola and the PL Vlado Miroservic- in which he formally claimed for his appearance on television. However, the move did not come to fruition because The command that issued its images was Approve for Water, which brings together figures from the extinct Convention and whose lead motive it is precisely the presence of this resource in the new Constitution.

“On Sunday, August 7, an audiovisual excerpt from a talk show in which I participated as a guest (Without Filters) was shown in the electoral slot of the “Aprobes x Chile” campaign. audiovisual extract that was used and disseminated without my authorization or consent”, assured the actor.

“The audiovisual extract used for the campaign of your command does not reflect the real context in which I expressed the comments that were displayed, situation that not only affects my honor and image, but also the veracity of the information which is disseminated to the public”, he added.

Due to the above, I request that the exhibition of this audiovisual record is eliminated and/or suspended in future advertisements that are broadcast in the electoral time slot, or by any other means, otherwise I will be forced to initiate legal action for these facts”, closed in the letter.

From the Approve x Chile command they asserted that “The appearance of Cristián de La Fuente does not correspond to the fringe of our command: the House of Approval did not use and will not use his image without his consent.either. On the other hand, we are concerned that the same treatment or concern is not given to other uses of images, such as those of different conventional images taken out of context in the Rejection fringe”.

It should be noted that the Approve for Water command, as stated in different press releases, represents more than 90 socio-environmental and independent organizations, in which some participate former constituents like Marco Arellano, Dayyana Gonzalez and Camila Zarate, who was coordinator of the Environment Commission of the Convention.
