The Mexican singer Cristian Castro recently returned to his roots in music, although he did not completely detach himself from the histrionic style that he has taken in recent years. It is that by the hand of the Asspera band, released a metal version of his hit Lloviendo estrellas.
Aspera is a band that defines itself as a pioneer of «Argentine Bizarre Metal». It became famous for its concept of “bizarre cover”, they have their own songs although they usually remake other well-known and popular ones, always passing them through the prism of heavy metal.
For example, a couple of years ago they worked with Ale Sergi on a metal version of Don, one of Miranda’s biggest hits. They also did covers of Luis Miguel, such as “Ahora te puedes marchar” and “Rey”.
Now it was the turn of another of the great performers of the pop genre, Cristian Castro, who curiously is a declared fan of this musical genre. The Argentines and the Mexican came together to cover this emblem of the Azul album, an album published in 2001.
Verónica Castro’s son too lent himself to participate in the recording of the video clip and add some vocal arrangements to this cover.
In recent months he recorded an album whose title and release date are unknown at the moment. But a return to the stage is already planned, specifically to the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires.
