Crissier (VD): Three suspects of selling drugs arrested
During the search of an apartment as part of the police operation, the occupant of the premises was injured by jumping from the balcony located on the 3rd floor.
Thursday, November 24, as part of an operation carried out by the narcotics brigade of the security police, investigations made it possible to identify and arrest three people suspected of being involved in cocaine trafficking.
During this operation, a first suspect was first arrested in the middle of the street in the followingnoon. Then, around 6:30 p.m., staff from the Cantonal Police’s Rapid Action and Deterrence Detachment (DARD) carried out a search of an apartment in Crissier.
When the landing door was forced open, a second suspect, who was in the apartment, jumped from the balcony on the 3rd floor. The injured occupant, a 23-year-old Nigerian, was treated by the police for first aid before being taken to hospital by ambulance. His life is not in danger, informs the Vaud cantonal police in its press release. Shortly following, a third defendant was arrested.
30 grams of cocaine
The three suspects arrested, Nigerians aged between 23 and 33, were heard by the police. Two of them were placed in pre-trial detention by the prosecutor in charge of the procedure. During the search and arrests, the police seized approximately 30 grams of cocaine, packaging material, cutting product and more than 1,800 Swiss francs.
The investigation is continuing under the responsibility of the Public Ministry. This operation required the commitment of inspectors from the narcotics brigade and the scientific police brigade of the Security Police, the DARD, the support of a patrol from the West Lausanne Police (POL ) as well as the canine brigade of the municipal police of Lausanne.
