International newspapers and news sites focused on the repercussions of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, the unprecedented humanitarian crisis it resulted in, and the escalation of the Western position against Tel Aviv’s policy.

In this context, the American newspaper “Washington Post” highlighted some of the repercussions of malnutrition suffered by the residents of Gaza, based on doctors and nutrition experts who warned that children who survive death due to hunger, infectious diseases and psychological trauma “will have to live with health problems that will accompany them throughout their lives, primarily affecting… On growth.”

She warned that hunger is already widespread in Gaza, and the situation is likely to get worse in the near term, according to what current data show.

An article in the British newspaper The Guardian asked about the timing when Western leaders would move to stop what Israel is doing in Gaza.

He pointed out that the emergence of overwhelming evidence of Israeli violations against the Palestinians prompted the leaders of Britain, the United States, and Germany – at least – to “pay attention to the heavy toll of civilian deaths.”

The article concluded that images of people dying from starvation in Gaza strip Western politicians of their argument to defend Israel and say that it is an unfortunate but unintended consequence of the war against the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

Israeli army rules of engagement

The American New York Times newspaper alerted to a strange paradox based on two attacks carried out by the Israeli army. The first targeted Iranian Revolutionary Guard officials in Syria with high precision and successfully achieved its goal, and the other targeted relief workers on the ground in Gaza, then it was said that it was a strike that missed its target.

She pointed out that the two attacks raise questions about the standards of engagement within the Israeli army, which is ranked among the best equipped and trained armies.

In turn, the American website “The Hill” published an article calling on the Israeli government to respect international law and stop the indiscriminate killing of civilians in Gaza, warning of what it called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recipe for an eternal war through his explicit refusal to recognize the rights of the Palestinians and his insistence on destroying and disarming Hamas.

According to the article, what is most worrying now is the fate of Rafah and the urgent need for more aid, pointing out that the United States is the only one capable of making a change.

For its part, the French newspaper “Le Monde” reported that the British government was under more pressure to stop arms sales to Israel, highlighting the demand of more than 600 lawyers for Rishi Sunak’s government to avoid implicating Britain in what is likely to be genocide.

The newspaper pointed to the results of a public opinion poll conducted this week, which showed that 56% of Britons support a ban on arms supplies to Israel.
