The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said today (Tuesday) that 120 patients in the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis face death in the absence of any ingredients to treat them.

The Ministry of Health added in a statement, a copy of which was sent to the German News Agency, that the Israeli army’s storming and siege of the Nasser complex turned it into a health hazard, indicating that the medical teams are unable to provide health care to patients in the complex due to the cessation of the generator, the cessation of oxygen, and the disruption of the sewage network. Water outages, waste accumulation, and the lack of medical capabilities, all of which hinder work.

The statement said that the complex needs to evacuate more than 120 patients from the complex to other hospitals to receive health care, as they face death, in addition to a series of urgent reforms in order to provide health services to about 1.8 million citizens.

The statement called on international institutions to take urgent action to provide the emergency and urgent needs of the complex and to pressure Israel to release all health personnel.

For his part, Avichay Adraee, spokesman for the Israeli army, announced that army forces had ended their operations at Nasser Hospital after arresting about 200 suspects of Hamas militant activity in the hospital.

Abu Safiya added: “Every day, approximately 300 children arrive at the emergency department from the age of one day to 12 years, and they all suffer from the same symptoms due to dehydration and malnutrition.”
