The administrators of the Bubalcó park, in the city of Allen, in Río Negro, are astonished by what happened: a group of criminals seeking to reach a safe guarded by a white tiger entered the animal’s cage, in a risky maneuver that might have ended in tragedy.
The event occurred sometime over the weekend, but the establishment’s workers only noticed it on Monday when they noticed that the entrance door to the cage where the animal is located had been violated.
The criminals had the precise information that the entire collection of the weekend was stored in the safe, money that would not be less, according to sources of the investigation.
How did they get to the safe?
In addition, they knew in detail the operation of the cage. To get to the place, they cornered the animal and placed the gates that blocked its passage to the area where the safe is located.
“They manipulated the cables and washers that make the gate lanes change and open. Then they placed the cats in another sector away from the cell they wanted to enter,” said Mario Figueroa, deputy commissioner of Unit 54 of the town of Guerrico, located in the rural area of Allen.
However, when they got to the safe they found a complication: they might not open or break the lock.
With the plan frustrated, they decided to leave without the loot they were looking for.
“The big padlock was hit with a blunt element. They also made a cut in the reins that change the cell lanes, but they were not able to open the lock,” the police chief remarked.
Finally, the commissioner stressed that despite the fact that the cage door was broken, the tiger was unable to escape, which would have represented an even greater danger.
