This is what several men who claim to represent the criminals on whom the Ecuadorian government declared war said in a video full of cynicism.

The group of men dress in white and stand erect, with a martial posture, while one of them takes the floor, remaining seated in front of the others, without showing his face. “We salute the entire country and apologize for the altercations.”he begins to say, with a brusque tone, reinforcing the cynical tone of what he would express next.

There is the first gesture of treachery once morest President Daniel Noboa, whom they call a “rich kid with a superhero ego.” Then, they use Colombia as an example to show that a peace negotiation is not something that bothers the United States:

“Colombia is Colombia and has an agreement with the US, it has made peace treaties with the FARC, guerrillas and paramilitaries,” they noted.

(Read later: Colombian government worsens the situation in Ecuador due to its decision with national prisoners)

That said, they continue their attacks on Noboa, implying that he will not negotiate for his ego: “Are you going to come and want to kill and have the Ecuadorian people killed for your damn ego? “You studied in the US, not in Ecuador, which is why you don’t know anything regarding what happens in Ecuador.”

Interspersing insults in their speech, the criminals even addressed military and police leaders with a different tone, insisting on the possibility of dialogue: “So go out and kill, as this capricious child gave the order. [refiriéndose al mandatario]the suggestion: everything has a dialogue”.

“They may win, but they will not give back the lives of Ecuadorians who have nothing to do with this. Your ego can do more,” they insist.

Reiterating their cynical attitude, the terrorists assure that the fault is not theirs, but Noboa’s: “You upset us and Ecuador, when you should ask God for wisdom to manage the country.”

But that threatening and incoherent attitude reached its worst point when they once more apologized to the Ecuadorian people and urged them to raise their voices, but they finished with this phrase: ““Crime will never end, let that be clear.”.

Why and for what? To insist on his request to negotiate peace: “President, do you know what a peace agreement is? We tell you: they are agreements that put an end to an armed confrontation between two nations or organizations for the purposes of a better life.”
