Since last July 29, after the National Electoral Council (CNE) to announce the results of the electoral process in which he proclaimed Nicolas Maduro winner without having transmitted 100% of the minutes, hundreds of people took to the streets in various parts of the country to express their discontent with these results.

Meanwhile, the opposition claims that the winner of these elections and in a “crushing” way was its candidate, Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia.

Similarly, the attorney general of the Maduro administration, Tarek William Saabsaid this week that these protests have left some 25 fatalities, attributing responsibility to what he described as “instrumentalized criminal groups”.

In the midst of this turbulent and tense context in the country, both the opposition and the international community have demanded an end to the repression of the Venezuelan people, as well as the release of those detained, and have also urged the authorities to respect the legitimate right to peaceful protest, which is also part of the human rights of Venezuelans.
