Credit Suisse buys a huge luxury hotel in Florida

Credit Suisse announces on Sunday the acquisition of a large luxury hotel in Florida, in joint venture with the American real estate investment company Trinity Fund Advisors. This is one of the largest hotel transactions in the United States since August 2021, the bank said.

The amount of the purchase of the Diplomat Beach Resort remains confidential. The establishment, taken over from an American real estate fund and whose management has been entrusted to the Hilton chain, was recently renovated for 90 million dollars (regarding 83 million francs). According to the SonntagsZeitung, the amount of the acquisition would reach 835 million.

The Diplomat Beach Resort is located directly on the beach, in South Florida, and has a thousand rooms, eight bars and restaurants and a spa, all on a ten-hectare site, indicates the German weekly. Cost of the night on the booking platforms: around 1200 francs.

Tourism in Florida, according to specialists, should return to its pre-pandemic level.
