The sleep pathology units of the physiology and functional exploration departments of the Ambroise-Paré, Antoine-Béclère, Bicêtre and Raymond-Poincaré hospitals joined forces at the end of 2022 to create the AP-HP Sleep Federation. Paris-Saclay University.
It will coordinate the management of sleep and alertness pathologies and disorders in order to optimize the care pathway for patients according to the specificities of each of the sleep centres. The objective is to ensure the management of all sleep disorders in adults and children: primary and secondary hypersomnia, sleep breathing disorders, motor disorders and abnormal behavior during sleep (parasomnias) , insomnia and sleep-related epilepsies in children…
Created on December 12, 2022, following having received a favorable opinion from the local Establishment Medical Commission in November, the federation will promote communication and collaboration between teams, develop cooperation with actors in city medicine and contribute to pooling skills to promote research.
Two of the four sleep centers involved in this new federation are part of the seven centers in the Ile-de-France region accredited by the French Society for Sleep Research and Medicine.
