New season, new opportunities for one of the NFL’s best offensive players.
In the past year, Travis Kelce has managed to appear at Taylor Swift concerts around the world, win the Super Bowl for the second year in a row and build on his podcast empire with his big brother.
34-year-old Travis Kelce is still active in the NFL. Last spring, he signed a new two-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs worth the equivalent of SEK 355 million ($34.25 million).
Brother Jason, who is two years older, previously played center for the Philadelphia Eagles, where he won the Super Bowl in 2018, but chose to end his career after this past season.

The rivalry on the pitch has thus been changed to become a lucrative collaboration. With their joint podcast ‘New Heights’ – the brothers recently signed a contract with Amazon-owned podcast network Wondery worth over a billion kroner.
“We love this program and the fan base that has grown with us over the past two seasons. Wondery understands the shared vision and will contribute experience and resources to help us reach new heights,” the brothers said in a statement.
The name of the podcast alludes to the hometown of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, where the brothers grew up. In the podcast, they talk about their experiences during the NFL season and are often visited by various players and some other celebrities.

Now goes Travis Kelce into a new season, which starts Friday night. There, he and the Chiefs will try to become the first in NFL history to succeed with a “three-peat” – to win the Super Bowl three years in a row.
Whether, between all the matches and all the podcasting, he will have time to go to more of Taylor Swift’s performances remains to be seen.
Attentive “Swifties” can usually find another clue if he is in the audience when the pop star performs the song “Karma”.
Usually, Taylor Swift sings “Karma is a guy on the screen”, but when Travis Kelce was present at one of her concerts in the past year, she changed the lyrics to “Karma is a guy on the Chiefs”.
