The user claims that he lives in Dubai and confirmed that the confusion is real, with local news showing several images in addition to the one he published. Some stores had to put up barriers to organize the crowd of customers gathered the day before the launch.
Another video published on TikTok shows a store employee asking customers to calm down because all iPhone 15 units available in the store have already been sold.
Some users say that the crowd is mainly made up of scalpers, who buy all available stock to resell cell phones at a higher price, a practice considered illegal in some countries.
The iPhone 15 line will be launched in Brazil soon, with pre-sales starting on September 27th, next Wednesday and prices starting at R$7,299.
