Cracking Down on Drug Trafficking in Saudi Arabia: Latest Arrests and Seizures

Jeddah: Drug hunting continues in Saudi Arabia. Many people were arrested from different parts of the country. Strong checks are being carried out across the country to prevent the importation and spread of narcotic drugs.

Many people from different parts are caught in drunkenness cases. Those arrested will include both locals and foreigners. Four violators were arrested by Border Force in Dhahran Al Janub sector of Asir region.

They were caught while trying to enter the country through the border. Officials said that 37 kg of hashish was seized from them. An Egyptian national was also arrested for selling the drug methamphetamine, also known as shabu, in Dammam.

The Narcotics Control Unit seized around 100,000 drug pills from a farm in Al Jawf, Zakaka. Three natives were also arrested here who were secretly keeping and marketing in an underground chamber. Weapons were also seized from them.

Officials informed that further action is being taken once morest the culprits. Strong checks are being carried out at the land and water borders and airports to Saudi Arabia. The authorities have warned that strong punitive measures will be taken once morest those caught in drunkenness cases.
