KUWAIT CITY: Authorities continue to conduct inspections aimed at finding work and residence law violators in Kuwait. Officials arrested 56 expatriates who were carrying out commercial activities without a license in a widespread raid in Khaitan yesterday. Among these are nationals of various nationalities who are violators of labor laws and who have violated the country’s residency laws. All were handed over to the concerned departments for further legal action.
At the same time, three expatriate women were arrested for running a women’s salon without proper permits. The facilities were similar to those of medical clinics. Here customers came and received various services. The raid was conducted jointly by three departments under the leadership of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Later, officials from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce came and closed the establishment.
