Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has deported 7,922 foreigners who faced legal action for violations of residence, employment and border security laws, officials said. This action was taken once morest so many people within a week from September 21 to September 27. During the same period, in the raids conducted in different areas of the country, regarding 11,465 foreigners were newly caught for law violations, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Interior said.
Of the 11,465 people arrested during the week, 7,199 were found to have violated Saudi Arabia’s residency laws. 2,882 violators of border security rules, 1,384 labor law violators and 711 people who were caught while trying to cross the border illegally were arrested. Of those arrested trying to cross into Saudi Arabia, 52 percent were Yemenis, 45 percent were Ethiopians, and three percent were from other countries.
14 people were also caught trying to leave Saudi Arabia illegally. 15 persons were arrested for smuggling and harboring the violators of residence and labor laws.
43,772 violators are currently under the process. Out of which 36,404 are male and 7,368 are female. Of these, 38,379 are contacting their respective countries’ diplomatic offices to correct their travel documents. The travel arrangements of 1,704 people are coming to an end.

Those who provide transport and accommodation facilities to such labor, residence and border violators in Saudi Arabia have also been warned of severe punishment. Up to 15 years in prison and a maximum fine of 10 lakh Riyals is the punishment if caught in this way. Moreover, the Ministry of Home Affairs has warned that vehicles and residential buildings will be confiscated.
