The Egyptian Medicines Authority had identified the names of three medicines that were found to be adulterated and not in conformity with standard specifications. Which:
1- Prisoline eye drop, to treat eye infections.
2- Vental compositing inhaler, which is a treatment designed to treat asthma and the famous obstructive pulmonary disease, is intended for children.
3- Suprax 100 mg/ml, which is intended for treating urinary tract and middle ear infections.
The Medicines Authority called on citizens to be careful when purchasing medicines. To preserve their health and safety.
The authority asked all pharmacies to check whether there might be containers that do not belong to Novo, which produces the biosimilar Ozempic, a treatment for type 2 diabetes.
