Christian Dubé, Minister of Health, said Friday that more than 90,000 vaccination appointments had been made.

According to Mr. Dubé, who said he was “happy” with the situation in a publication on X, 65,000 people “killed two birds with one stone by being vaccinated at the same time once morest flu and COVID-19” .

From October 2, settings where people are more at risk (CHSLD, RPA) will be able to receive their vaccines. The general population will be able to get their vaccines on October 10.

Thursday, Dr. Luc Boileau, national director of public health, invited people who “are more at risk” to make an appointment right away. Among these, people over 60 years old, children and adults who have chronic illnesses, pregnant women and parents of children under 6 years old. We also add health workers and more remote populations,” explained Mr. Boileau.

It is possible to make an appointment by visiting the Clic Santé website or by going to a pharmacy. It will simultaneously be possible to make an appointment for a flu and pneumococcus vaccine.

COVID and flu vaccines are completely free and will be offered at 150 points of service and pharmacies. We have therefore confirmed that large vaccination centers such as those installed at the Olympic Stadium in particular are not necessary for this vaccination campaign.

For the moment, it is the Moderna vaccine that is available in Quebec. For people who have received a vaccine other than Moderna, we still recommend getting a new dose.

It is still recommended by Public Health to get a new dose 6 months following being vaccinated once morest COVID or following being infected.
