COVID-19: vaccination could decrease a lot

Quebec should follow the advice of Public Health, which proposes that reminders for the COVID-19 vaccine should no longer be inoculated to healthy people, in the medium term. This means that citizens who are adequately vaccinated might do without a booster dose. The thing has not been officially announced, but, in the past, François Legault has regularly sided with the opinions of Public Health. In the region, more than 240,000 doses of vaccines have been distributed since the start of the pandemic. The trend might therefore decrease in the coming months.

“According to the data that the INSPQ was able to collect, people who are in good health, who are vaccinated and who have had COVID have developed immunity that is longer lasting than we thought. Therefore, the recall following six months, for these people, would be useless. “Explains Yv Bonnier-Viger, the director of regional public health.
