COVID-19 – The City reopens a vaccination center dedicated to vulnerable people » PACA’s economic and political newsletter

The city of Le Cannet is reopening a comprehensive municipal vaccination center dedicated to vulnerable people over 60 for the 4th dose.

From January 2021, the city of Le Cannet had set up a Municipal Center which made it possible to carry out vaccination and the injection of booster doses for Cannettans and Rochevillois who so wished.

This center operated until demand was met, in the spring of 2022. At the same time, the city had made a commitment to reopen it if the evolution of the pandemic justified it.

However, we are currently facing a national resurgence of the Covid-19 epidemic, which is particularly marked in our department.

Faced with this 7th vague, vaccination of those most at risk of serious forms disease is recommended by the government.

Thus, the 4th vaccine dose is now open:

  • To people aged 60 to 79 when the last injection dates back more than 6 months;
  • To people over 80 years old when their booster dose is more than 3 months old;
  • To the entirety of immunocompromised peoplewhen their booster dose is more than 3 months old.

In accordance with our commitment and in order to allow us to receive this 4th dose as soon as possible, the city has decided, a rare occurrence, to reopen a complete vaccination center (telephone reservation, reception and vaccination platform, the logistics of which will be provided by doctors, nurses, municipal officials and volunteer retirees ). This center is located on the Palestre site, in the Patrice RECROIX room, from July 18, for a period of one month (730 avenue Georges Pompidou – Le Cannet). If you are eligible for the 4th dose and you want it to be carried out via our vaccination center, we invite you to contact the switchboard on 04 93 46 48 88 from Monday 18 July 2022 in order to make an appointment.

This switchboard is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
