The Ministry of Health reported this Friday a total of 8,270 new cases, the highest figure recorded since June 5.
With the performance of 89,252 examinations, between PCR and antigen tests, national positivity reached 8.59 percent and in the Metropolitan Region it was 8.78 percent.
The variation of new confirmed cases at the national level is 151 and 188 percent for the comparison of seven and 14 days, respectively. While, no region decreases its cases in the last seven days.
According to sampling, the regions with the highest positivity in the last week are Tarapacá, Magallanes, Arica and Parinacota, and Antofagasta.
The Tarapacá region has the highest current incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by the regions of Arica and Parinacota, Magallanes and Antofagasta.

The total number of people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the country reaches 1,857,764. Of that total, 36,622 patients are in the active stage.
According to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 24 deaths for causes associated with Covid-19. The total number of deaths amounts to 39,355 in the country.
To the date, 427 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 356 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Regarding the Integrated Health Network, there is a total of 250 critical beds available.
With regard to Health Residences, the Ministry of Health has 47 accommodation facilities, with 4,376 total beds. The real occupancy nationwide is 89 percent, leaving a total of 3,129 beds available to be used.
