Aston Villa officially announced today, Friday, the signing of Brazilian star Felipe Coutinho from Barcelona, on loan until the end of the season.
The London club published an official statement, through its official website and pages on social media, announcing the completion of the agreement with the Catalan club and the agreement to include Coutinho on loan until the end of the season.
Aston Villa said in its official statement: “Aston Villa and Barcelona have agreed on loan terms for Philippe Coutinho in order to complete the rest of this season on loan at Villa Park.”
He continued: “The agreement between the two clubs is subject to the player completing a medical permit and obtaining a work permit in England, and also includes an option to purchase at the end of the season.” And the London club indicated in its statement, saying: “Coutinho will travel to Birmingham within the next 48 hours, to join the team early next week.

It is noteworthy that Coutinho, 29, joined Barcelona in January 2018 from Liverpool in a deal estimated at 135 million euros, but he failed to prove his capabilities with the Catalan club and is now looking to restore his level in the English Premier League.
