Wien – The Court of Auditors does not believe that Austria is adequately prepared for any crises in the area of food security. Although the self-sufficiency of the main agricultural products is basically good, Austria is not well prepared for supra-regional and sudden damage events. “There was a lack of an up-to-date risk analysis and concrete emergency plans for different crisis scenarios,” the authority complains in a recent report.
