The revocation promoted by the Superintendence of Casinos (SCJ) to the permission that Enjoy had to build a room in Puerto Varas will have to continue waiting. Although in mid-March the authority reported its decision to take away their license due to the lack of progress in the works, the operator appealed that decision.. And in this context, it filed a request not to innovate, in instances in which there is a previous lawsuit filed by Enjoy once morest the SCJ, in which it accuses that if there has been no progress in the development of the casino in the south, it is basically due to an act ” arbitrary and illicit” of the Municipal Works Directorate of Puerto Varas, which constituted a fortuitous event or force majeure that prevented the timely construction and execution of the works associated with the operating permit.

Two weeks ago, the Court of Appeals agreed with the operator. “Existing background that justifies it, the requested order not to innovate is granted,” he decided.

On April 7, the SCJ sent a report to the court in which it stated that Enjoy’s request was only seeking to delay the process and asked to declare that the order not to innovate extended only to stop the execution of the revocation act and not to paralyze the processing. of the trial. On Wednesday, the court was even clearer and rejected the SCJ’s request. He assured that the order not to innovate was granted in the same terms in which it was requested, that is, it paralyzes the process until a final judgment is issued in the previous trial.
