Asuncion, IP Agency.- The importance of tourist information agents in the experience of visitors and in the development of tourism was highlighted in the training course for future promoters held in Ayolas, at the request of the Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY) and the National Service for Professional Promotion (SNPP).
Catalina Román, EBY’s Tourism and Culture delegate in Ayolas, pointed out in her presentation that the role of tourist information officers is fundamental in creating a positive impression that influences the visitor’s entire experience because they are the first contact they have with a destination.
He said that informants provide accurate and valuable information regarding tourist destinations and help visitors understand and appreciate local culture and history, enriching their experience.
The training course has a duration of 160 hours and 25 young people from the area, interested in developing tourism as a job option, are participating.
Ayolas is a very attractive city for tourism due to its nature, to which is added the Yacyretá Hydroelectric Power Plant, a monumental work of engineering and its tourist circuits.
“From the initial warm and friendly welcome to the proud promotion of our cultural and natural attractions, every aspect of the work of tourist information officers significantly impacts the visitor experience,” said Román.
He added that by following the rules and good practices, and by applying the principles of tourism culture, in addition to improving the quality of the service we offer, we also strengthen the social and economic fabric of our community.
