A couple accused of sexual abuse and cruel treatment once morest his children was under arrest by the Corps of Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations, in the Tovar municipality of Mérida state this Friday, March 4.
The arrest took place in the town of San José, Jesús Moreno sector, Mesa Bolívar parish, Antonio Pinto Salinas municipality. The ages of the victims are between 3 and 9 years old.
Such information was released by Douglas Rico, director of the police agency, through his Instagram account.
In his publication, he explained that the couple was identified as María Flor Vargas Vargas, 25 years old, and Roberto Antonio Ferrerira Arellano, 30 years old. Officials from the police component determined following an investigation that both were involved in physical assaults and sexual abuse once morest minors.
According to the report, Ferreira is the father of a 7-year-old girl and some 3, 4 and 5-year-old boys; He is also the stepfather of a 9-year-old girl. “He subdued them, sexually abused females and uttered physical and psychological abuse once morest males,” the report detailed.
Meanwhile, the woman was an accomplice to the attacks and also threatened to beat them if they did not keep quiet. In the report, the detectives indicated that the couple forced the children to observe their sexual relations.
Finally, Rico explained that the case has already been notified to the Eighth Prosecutor’s Office of the Mérida State Public Ministry.
