Coupang Eats, campaign for safe delivery to gas stations nationwide

Coupang Eats, together with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Hyundai Oilbank, announced on the 11th that they would launch a safety delivery campaign at gas stations across the country that are frequently used by delivery partners and general riders. For three months, the company supported the installation of banners installed at major locations across the country, including Hyundai Oilbank, where many delivery partners refueled.

The banner contains four basic safety rules selected by the Ministry of Employment and Labor: ‘Keep the signal’, ‘Watch ahead while driving’, ‘Beware of lane changes’, and ‘Leave following a while when the signal changes’ (preventing accidents caused by tail-biting vehicles). Following safety training and provision of KC-certified helmets, the company also introduced part-time paid transportation insurance, which was the lowest in the industry at the time, in April.

In addition, in order to prepare for the recent summer heat wave, we provided bottled water coupons to partners who delivered at least once a week before, regardless of transportation method. A Coupang Eats official said, “We will continue to strengthen support for delivery partners who are striving for customer satisfaction and smooth delivery of stores.”
