LASBERG. The new country thriller “Zu neu Ufern” will premiere on July 13th at the summer cinema in Braunberg.
The summer cinema at Braunberg starts on Wednesday, July 13th. Selected films will be shown in front of an impressive backdrop on five Wednesdays until August 10th. Top-class guests have also been announced: The directors Robert Schabus and Adrian Goiginger are guests at the beginning and end of the Braunberg season with their films “Alpenland” and “Märzengrund” – both also invite you to the cinema hiking day, a shady 1.5-hour hike with an interested audience from St. Oswald to the Braunberghütte. With their impressive shots of alpine landscapes, the films also form a perfect bracket for the summer cinema at the Alpine Club hut.
“To new shores”
The premiere of the new Upper Austrian country thriller “Zu neu Ufern” also attracts film guests to the Braunberg on July 13: Maria Hofstätter, who has just been awarded the Austrian Film Prize, is visiting the Braunberg with parts of the film crew to present the film. In addition, the two successful films “Monsieur Claude and his big party” (July 27) and “Rotzbub” (August 3) will be shown.
The summer cinema on the Braunberg is also a worthwhile destination for those interested in astronomy: On July 20th and 27th, as well as on August 3rd, Franz Hofstadler from the Mühlviertel Astronomical Association invites you to stargaze once more. When the weather is clear, he shows the most interesting constellations and celestial phenomena of the summer night sky following the films with telescope and laser pointer.
Local stage chairman and cinema boss Wolfgang Steininger is looking forward to the summer cinema season and the cooperation with the new hut hosts: “Together we want to continue the many beautiful Braunberg evenings of the last few years. The program brings some of the best new films and selected highlights of the last few months to the screen, and we look forward to welcoming film guests to the Braunberg once more in addition to the audience.”
