“Country Brand” for Paraguayan companies and entrepreneurs

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) awarded 11 new “Country Brand” licenses to Paraguayan companies and entrepreneurs, with the aim of showcasing what Paraguay produces and conquering new international scenarios.

The ceremony for the presentation of new licenses was held at the Expo Mariano Roque Alonso, by the Vice Minister of Rediex, Rodrigo Maluff; in the company of his Industry counterpart, Lorena Méndez; as well as authorities from the Paraguayan Industrial Union (UIP) and the UIP Joven.

The new ambassadors, companies and products selected will be able to wear the distinctive logo of Paraguay, which will enhance their presence as representatives of our country and the values ​​we want to transmit as a nation, the MIC reported.

The new licenses were delivered to:

Envaco S.A: It is a 100% national capital company specialized in the manufacture of corrugated cardboard and high-quality flexographic printing.

Currently, the work is carried out on a constructed area of ​​more than 20,000 m², producing 15,000 tons of corrugated cardboard per year for national and international consumption, employing more than 140 Paraguayans.

Vemarcorp S.A (VMA S.A.): The first industry in the country to use metal recycling as a raw material. They stand out for their high production efficiency, with a technology that is unique in the region, supplying the civil construction sector since 2018.

It is the only company that manufactures hot-rolled steel products from the recycling of more than 135,000 tons of ferrous scrap per year.

Hypergrain S.A: Company specialized in the production, storage and processing of grains. They export to all continents and are present in more than 25 countries around the world.

Felipa Home: It specializes in the production and marketing of decorative products for the home, with an exclusive dedication to quality and style.

Each piece, handmade by Paraguayan artisans, not only beautifies spaces, but also supports a social commitment to artisan families.

Maria Veronica Vega: Television presenter, producer of the program “Vero Vega Presenta”, whose content focuses on: current affairs, fashion, beauty, art, culture, health, gastronomy, travel, royalty and lifestyle.

Its program was declared of “Tourist Interest” by the National Secretariat of Tourism and of “Cultural Interest” by the National Secretariat of Culture.

Lucia Sapena: She has more than 20 years of experience working in the media as a presenter and producer. For more than ten years she has participated in film festivals and film awards as a journalist, jury member, part of the event organization or as a master of ceremonies.

She worked at the “Expo Universal Hannover 2000”, at the Paraguay stand as one of the hosts and later as an artist, communicator and cultural promoter.

Since 2014, he has represented the country at the “Platino Awards for Ibero-American Cinema” as a journalist, member of the jury, and for the last two years as part of the executive committee.

Marian Sonia: It is a Paraguayan brand that is a reference in the country’s fashion. The company’s mission is to spread our culture to the world through its designs, moving away from traditional classics.

She has participated representing Paraguayan fashion in national and international events, among the most important: Paris Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week and Buenos Aires Fashion Week.

Crania Music: It is the instance or event where the protagonists of the music industry meet to connect with international guests.

They have held seven editions of “Training Actions” without interruption with the presence of representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Spain, the USA and Uruguay.

Paraguayan Sugarcane SA (Capasa): It is a company that produces the most renowned blends of sugarcane in the country. The country has in its products a reason for national pride.

The brands produced by Capasa have, over time, established themselves in the taste of the people for their quality and excellence. Its rich history dates back to an “association of distilleries” in 1909.

Years later, in 1941, the Paraguayan Alcohol Corporation (Copal) was founded, which in 1951 became the Paraguayan Alcohol Administration (APAL).

Since then, just over four decades passed until the Paraguayan Alcohol Administration became Cañas Paraguayas Sociedad Anónima (Capasa) in 1993.

Bolpar SA: Founded 47 years ago as a factory supplying cement bags to the INC.

For regarding 12 years, it has been manufacturing bags for other sectors such as construction, food, coal, gastronomy and others. It contributes to education through student internship agreements.

Hilagro SA and its 6 product lines: Flours, semolina, ground biscuits, dried pasta, pasta and fresh tapas: The company is a leader in the production of basic foodstuffs. The high quality of its products has opened the doors to the demanding Brazilian market, where it has had a subsidiary since the end of 2013.

Since March 2006, the company has entered the dry pasta market with a wide variety of Hildebrand noodles, always faithful to the quality that characterizes the brand.
