A vulnerability has been found in Counter-Strike 2.YouTube channel Ozzny CS2 reported.
A vulnerability/exploit has been discovered in Counter-Strike 2. By simply converting the Steam name into HTML code, you can change the in-game visuals and obtain the IP of the player on the server. I’m not going to explain in detail how to do it, but it’s very simple.
The worst thing that can happen when this vulnerability is exploited is that your IP address is obtained, but this should not be taken lightly. Counter-Strike 2 is definitely not safe right now, and you shouldn’t play it until Valve fixes it.
This information is already widely available. Security experts Pirate Software has also addressed the vulnerability and advised people not to play until it is fixed.
This vulnerability started circulating around December 11, 2023. Please be careful if you are playing Counter-Strike 2. We strongly recommend that you do not play until there is an announcement from Valve.
