The rumor had been rising for several days, the information is now official. The video game distributor Valve has just revealed that its famous game Counter-Strike, originally released in 2013, will get a free update next summer. “With Counter Strike 2, Counter-Strike makes the biggest technical leap in its entire history and guarantees new features and updates for years to come“says Valve on its site. Counter-Strike: Globa Offensive will therefore give way to Counter-Strike 2.

Before its official release, Valve, which has the most popular video game on the Steam platform, will also test its game with some of its followers who will try these new features from March 22. Among these, Valve has indicated that new smoke grenades will be available in combat and that all weapons will have new models in high resolution. Players will also be able to keep all items and skins collected in the previous version.
