Countdown to Traffic Charges – Who is at risk of fines – 2024-07-15 12:09:40

The deadline for the payment of the 2024 traffic fees expires on February 29. In fact, vehicle drivers who have not paid them will be able to “download” traffic fees through the AADE website without taxisnet codes, but only with the vehicle’s VAT number and registration number.

It is reminded that the 2024 road tax payment notices are available from the myCAR application and car owners can pay them through it in the following ways.

Through automated trading machines located in banks.

In this case you will be asked for the QR Code, i.e. the icon on the top right of the notification panel.

Through web banking as long as you have access to the application available from your bank.

In this case you will be prompted for the RF code. It is the 23-digit number located in the center of the notification panel immediately following the letters “RF”.

To the nearest one bank or at an ELTA branch, having printed the notice in advance.

Traffic charges: How to print them with Taxisnet codes

Vehicle owners to print road tax must follow the steps below:

First they will have to enter its application AADE “MyCar”.

Then they should press the option “LOG IN TO THE APPLICATION” and import them Taxisnet codes and then they step CONNECTION.

They should press “Vehicle Traffic Fees”.

Immediately they will have to choose “Vehicle Traffic Fee Notifications”.

Then, they confirm that the VAT number and the year (2024) shown are correct and then enter the vehicle registration number.

Then, they click on the “Traffic Fee Notice” in order to save the file to their mobile phone or a computer, where they can then print it.

The fines

The fines for the “forgetful” will be quite high. Analytically:

The fine will be equal to the fees if the vehicle is a two-wheeled or three-wheeled I.X. or passenger car

The fine will be equal to 50% of the fees if the vehicle is passenger D.X.

The fine will be zero if the road tax is less than 30 euros

In the event that the vehicle is in circulation or parked in a public place and bears plates, while it is in a digital immobility, the payment of Traffic Fees and their late payment fine is imposed, as well as an administrative fine of 10,000 euros. In case of recurrence, an administrative fine of 30,000 euros is imposed and the driver’s license of the owner/holder is withdrawn.

The immobility of the vehicle

The immobility of the vehicle is reported to the competent D.O.Y. in the following cases:

Circulation of the vehicle abroad.

Transfer of the vehicle which has not been completed.

Seizure of the vehicle by a public authority with its registration details.

Removal of the vehicle registration data by a public authority.

Delivery to the facilities of the Alternative Vehicle Management of Greece (EDOE) for the purpose of its final deletion by recycling.

Total destruction of the vehicle due to fire or other cause.
Auction of the vehicle.

Alienation of the owner or possessor from the vehicle, as in the case of its collection by the Municipality as abandoned.

Any other case where the owner or owner of the vehicle is not in possession of either the vehicle or its traffic information (license and plates).
