 – 2024-04-12 20:33:21

The deadline for the “Tourism for All 2024” program ended yesterday, April 8, 2024, on the vouchers.gov.gr platform.

Initially, the platform was indeed supposed to close on April 1, but was given a one-week extension, until yesterday, to allow beneficiaries to complete their applications.

After the completion of the process, where the beneficiaries will be selected by lottery, they will be able to issue an immaterial digital debit card, which they will use for their stay in any hotel or accommodation of their choice in the country.

The results of the draw are expected within the second fortnight of April.

The program “Tourism for All 2024“is the upgraded digital version of the “Tourism for All 2022” Program, as it foresees:

•increased subsidy of €200 per beneficiary (from €150 provided for in the previous Program),
•an amount of €300 to natural persons:
•unmarried or widowed with dependent children, based on the last cleared when submitting the 2022 Personal Income Tax Declaration application,
•marriage or parties to a cohabitation agreement with three or more protected children, based on the last cleared at the time of submitting the application for a joint or separate Personal Income Tax Return 2022. It is noted that invoking the existence of the above number of children in order to receive the increased support is possible once .
•Pensioners of all Funds with a final decision to award a pension due to old age until 31.12.2022, who meet the conditions defined in the relevant Joint Ministerial Decision and invitation.
•special provision of a higher subsidy of €400 for people with a disability of 67% or more and beneficiaries with children of people with a disability of 67% or more,
• contactless payment and redemption of the amount of the digital debit card at any accommodation provider (hotels, accommodation, etc.) and at any destination in the country, without geographical restrictions,
•immediate compensation of providers, which puts an end to waiting and time-consuming bureaucratic procedures,
• consumption of the amount in one go or in installments until December 2024, in order to support the choice of vacations outside the peak tourist season.

According to the protothema, potential Beneficiaries of the “Tourism for All 2024” Program are adult natural persons, who are tax residents of Greece, have submitted a final Personal Income Tax Return by the deadline for timely submission of returns for the tax year 2022, which has been cleared by the final date of submission of applications, and their annual family income falls within the income criteria defined in the table below.

The annual family income is considered to be the total annual taxable real or imputed income, as well as the exempt or taxed in a special way income of the taxpayer, his wife and dependent children, from any source. The above income does not include any disability allowance of the beneficiary or his dependent members, which is exempt from tax.
