After the madness that was the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the countdown to the 2026 World Cup begins, we tell you the locations and dates for this event.
The first thing you should know is that the project selected to host the 2026 World Cup is the one made up of the countries of North America, Mexico, the United States and Canada.
The main venue for the 2026 World Cup will be the United States, while Mexico and Canada will have approximately 10 games each.
In total there will be 16 cities that will host the next World Cup, 11 from the United States, 3 from Mexico and 2 from Canada. The cities chosen for this World Cup are:
Atlanta: Mercedes-Benz Stadium. With a capacity for 71,000 fans.
Boston: Gillette Stadium. Capacity for 68,756 people.
Dallas: AT&T Stadium 80,000 aficionados.
Guadalajara: Akron Stadium capacity for 46,355 fans.
Houston: NRG Stadum (Capacity 72,220)
Kansas City: Arrowhead Stadium holds 76,416 people.
The Angels: SoFi Stadium (Capacity: 70,000 people)
Mexico City: Azteca Stadium (Capacity: 83,264 fans)
Miami: Hard Rock Stadium (Capacity: 65,326 fans)
Monterrey: BBVA Stadium (Capacity: 51,000 people)
New York / New Jersey: MetLife Stadium With a capacity of 82,500 fans
Philadelphia:Lincoln Financial Field (Capacity 67,594 people)
San Francisco Bay Area Levi’s Stadium (68,500 personas)
Seattle: Lumen Field (72,000 personas)
Toronto: BMO Field (30,000)
Vancouver: BC Place (54,500)

This will be the first World Cup that has 48 teams, 12 more than usual for this tournament, this in order to give more countries the opportunity to experience this event.
World dates 2026
For this World Cup, the usual dates will return, since the weather will allow it to be held in summer, not like the World Cup in Qatar.
The good news is that for the first time we will not have to wait 4 years to see the next World Cup, but we will only wait 3 and a half years.
The official dates are from June 8 to July 3, 2026.
