All in all a great sports afternoon in Maassluis, which yielded beautiful pictures. “It is great to see that there is so much public interest in this event. Maassluis literally came out for it. Sports unite, as the Tour de France Femmes that rode right through Maassluis proves once again. Moreover, we have put ourselves on the map in a positive way. The pictures from Maassluis go all over the world; that is something to be proud of”, according to alderman Mulder.
The Tour de France Femmes started in Rotterdam, the finish of the first stage in The Hague. On Tuesday, the cyclists resumed their multi-day race with another flat stage from Dordrecht to Rotterdam.
