At the level of 830 euros it “locks” as everything shows the new minimum wage following the meeting that took place on Wednesday night at Megaros Maximos.
The labor minister Domna Michailidou will deliver today the her proposal to the prime minister, who will announce the increase following the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, March 27. Therefore the percentage of the increase amounts to 6.5%, i.e. 50 euros gross which is considered a significant increase for low-wage households in order to cope with the wave of accuracy.
According to what Ms. Michailidou stated yesterday on ERT, her proposal is the result of both the dialogue with social bodies, i.e. with representatives of employers and employees, as well as the recommendations of scientific bodies, such as the Bank of Greece, the IOBE and KEPE.
The new salary
The new salary will be 830 euros from April 1st from 780 today and the net amount will be 706 euros from 667 today.
With one three-year period, the new minimum wage of 830 euros will be 913 euros gross, i.e. 762 euros net, with two three-year terms it will reach 996 euros gross and 817.5 euros net, while with three three-year terms, the new minimum wage, if increased by 50 euros gross, it will amount to 1,079 euros gross which corresponds to 872 euros net (a net increase of 42.5 euros per month).
This means that an older married employee will receive from 1 April together with the marriage allowance 1186.9 euros per month.
