Coulibaly leaves Naples for Chelsea “My dream was to be in the EPL”

Khalidu Kulibali. Chelsea Twitter Khalidu Coulibali is heading to Chelsea.

The English Premier League Chelsea announced on the 16th (Korean time) that “Coulibaly is the second player to join Chelsea this summer. I have signed a four-year contract with Italian Napoli defender Coulibaly.”

Senegal national team Coulibaly played for FC Mets in France and KRC Genk in Belgium before playing for Serie A Napoli in Italy in the summer of 2014. “He’s the best centre-back in the world. He has everything the elite defenders of modern football need. He’s also a great leader,” Chelsea said.

“I’m happy to play for Chelsea. My dream has always been to play in the Premier League,” said Coulibaly. “I connected with Chelsea in 2016, but the transfer didn’t happen. Friends Edu and Jorginho made the choice easy. I’m really happy to be with you,” he said.

Chelsea added: “The signing of Coulibali strengthens the defensive options that Antonio Rudiger (Real Madrid) and Andreas Christensen (FC Barcelona) left.

Coulibaly’s move to Chelsea will force Napoli to find a new centre-back.

One of those candidates is Kim Min-jae (Fenerbahce). Local media reported that “Napoli want Kim Min-jae as a replacement for Kuluvilla.” However, the French League 1 Stard Ren is also pushing for the signing of Kim Min-jae with coach Bruno Genesio, who was the head coach of Min-jae Kim during his Beijing Guoan days.
