Faced with this, the airlines have spoken of reschedule tickets free of charge once the emergency is over, but there are still doubts regarding it.
In dialogue with Caracol Radio, Francisco Ospina, director (e) of the Civil Aeronauticsclarified that although modifications can be made at no cost, the idea of a refund is not currently contemplated.
“Between October 7 and 9, the exemption from paying extra fees for changes in the itineraries, travelers can change their frequencies according to the availability of seats. We have asked the airlines for constant communication with their users and flexibility for relocationthat yes, is not contemplated at the moment the money backmight also be checked if it is regarding specific conditionsOspina explained.
For its part, the airline Latam reported that it will provide flexibility to affected users allowing the change of date and flight according to availability, as long as the origin and destination of the flight.
